This is great for keeping food warm. Because I live at altitude you wouldn't believe how quickly food goes cold. I really like how easy it is to raise and lower it so you can use the different heights for different foods. One of my favorites is for making popcorn for movie night - I can make a enough for everyone all at once and then leave it under the warmer, which keeps it hot/fresh so people can enjoy it as they want (or go back for more).I have had several friends (we all have problems with cold food) comment that this is a great way to solve the problem.If it was a perfect world they would make it were when it was lowered all the way it would slide under a standard 18" height from countertop to upper cabinets - but then you wouldn't be able to raise it as high. Oh well - everything is a trade-off - I still love it and I just had to find another storage place, which is probably good for me as I have a tendency to want too many things on my counter as it is.
