I like everything about this candle except that the cord weighs more than the candle does. I have this set up inside a lantern with 2 other electric candles, which sits outside on a table on the covered front porch. I have to wind the cord so the on/off switch is protected inside the lantern and the candle has some difficulty standing upright because the cord controls it's direction. Finally got it set to upright and it looks beautiful with the other candles and some faux foliage to hide the cords. All three cords are plugged into a little power strip with an on/off switch which controls all three. A weighted base might help this candle, as I can see this as a problem wherever the candle is placed.I saved the boxes, so hopefully these will last for years. They put off a warm glow (no LED cold blare) and look great from outside, as well as nice nightlights (as bright as about 2-3 nightlights) inside. Very pretty! I have outlets under the windows, so I kept the cords tied as they were in the box so as not to have too much cord hanging. My mini blinds held them on the sill since our sills are too small. They are the average size you see in stores and their little pan at the bottom are cute and old fashioned, yet they still looked great in our more transitional style home.Love these. Just what I was looking for. They look nice, but they are light. You have to find something to use on the bottom to secure them to the window. If they fall, they usually blow the fuse. There is one replacement fuse in the plug (I think). Mine are all broken and have no more fuses, but I'm ordering more and am going to try to find something like silly putty that may help them stay on the window ledge better. If anyone has any ideas about what I might use, please let me know. Where can you find the replacement fuses? If they fall off the window sill, it blows the fuse. They tend to fall easily. Thanks. This is a basic candle lamp with a switch that is not over-designed. There is no battery, no light sensor, no transformer, and no timer. It's just a 120V 2 prong plug wired through a basic switch and then to a candelabra base, all housed in a basic but attractive candle lamp. The advantage of this is that you can use any bulb you like. I replaced the bulb that came with these with an LED nightlight bulb because it uses less energy and doesn't get even remotely hot or even warm (making, it in my opinion, a lot safer when I'm putting these things near windows/curtains/screens/cloth sofas/etc. where there a possibility they may fall over and lay against something flammable.) I bought 7 of these and they look great in my windows. These work and illuminate with a soft glow, like a candle. I bought these to put on my bedroom vanity for some additional lighting for applying makeup and they're just not bright enough for that purpose. I knew before I bought them, that it might not work and had a back-up plan for them. They will look very pretty in my kitchen window this winter :)I've been using them daily (for just a few minutes) for a couple weeks and have had no problems with them. From Southeastern Pennsylvania to Virginia, there is an old custom of having a lighted candle in the window closest to the door. Once the candles were wax, of course, and likely the inspiration came from biblical roots. The electric candle is safer, of course, and with modern LED bulbs, the electricity used and heat generated are insignificant. And it is very nice to have light when one comes home at night. My wife and I give these candles to friends who, like us, are far away from our Mid-Atlantic homeland. One friend told us that these candles make attractive and practical nightlights on dressers, too.I love the little bit of light it gives on my kitchen counter. I replaced the bulb with a flicker bulb and it's like having a candle burning in the room.My father In law likes to keep a candle lit for his late wife. I didn't feel comfortable with having an open flame in the house 24/7... this "candle" looks like a candle and he can leave it on all day without a worry. We placed these candles in a multi-item Fall Display we showcase in our lobby. They're the perfect size and look great :) After a month of continuous use they're still working flawlessly. We definitely recommend them.Looked sub par at best. Tossed it out without using itBlew the fuse as soon as I plugged it it. Very disappointed. The candle met our expectations and we've enjoyed it over Christmas.
