Yankee Candle Alfresco Afternoon Scented Candle - 14.5oz Medium Jar Single Wick, 65+ Hours Burn Time - Perfect for Living Room, Bedroom & Relaxation

I use a lot of candles. I love the ambience they provide. My family loves the variety of scents I buy. This one is a roaring success. It's clean without being heavy or obnoxious. I cannot say that I would immediately say coconut but it does smell tropical.The color is very neutral being white so I can leave it out in the open whether it's lit or not. I've used it down to about halfway and it still has a nice fragrance and the wick is still long enough to light without fuss.I've burned it for many hours, some days more than 6 hours straight and the glass has held up, and the surface under it has not been marred. I have already selected the next candle and have it on the Subscribe and Save program. I love this brand and will be a customer for a long time to come.I went to see the dentist and as soon as I walked in the office it smelled AMAZING. I couldn’t see the label from where I was, but know the YC jar when I see it. I couldn’t get over the scent and had to ask what it was. When they said Pineapple Cilantro, I was surprised bc I absolutely hate everything about cilantro.Had it not been for that office, I would have never given this scent a thought. For whatever reason, this combo works really well. The cilantro is subtle and not overpowering, just enough to compliment the pineapple well and it’s not overly sweet.With that being said… this candle does smell amazing in the jar, but it’s not as strong when burning. Especially having burned it almost halfway now, it’s barely recognizable. Maybe in a smaller space it would be better. I have an open concept living and kitchen area, so it is a larger space to cover. However, I do have other candles that don’t have this problem.I’ll likely purchase again in hopes that I just got a weak batch the first time and maybe the next one will be stronger… If not, at least I’ll have a few to burn at the same time lol.I’d prefer if this candle had a stronger throw, but overall I would recommend bc I love this scent.I can't get enough of the fresh apple scent from this candle. Even when I'm not burning it, it smells good just to be near. It's a fresh apple scent, not muddled with spices or other aromas. Very pleasant and nostalgic.I love this candle as I have had the same scent before. However the packaging was horrible and the candle melted and was all over the outside of the candle therefore all over my hands and the shirt I was wearing,This candle gives off a nice apple scented glow. It is a light and appealing fragrance. It's the best scented candle I have ever owned.Everything you want for a fall scent. Apples, cinnamon, and just a hint of sweet. Love burning this candle.Could smell fragrance before I took it out of box. WonderfulLove it. Good scent without being overpowering. Reminds me of pumpkin, spice, cinnamon, nip clove, & the smell of a floral shop all in one. Glad I tried this scent.I bought 2 black cherry large candles as this is my favorite scent and I thought I was getting them at a really good price. What a waste of my money I will never ever purchase from this company again. They must be old stock and they just burn a hole right through the middle and then burn out. I am very upset as one was for my daughters birthday and another for a friend. Very disappointed. ?I should have read the reviews but considering it has 4.5 stars I never questioned the genuinity of this yankee candle. It is pale in colour, white wax spots on top, little to no scent at all. The wick is awful and let out bigger flames and smoke on the first light. I wanted to love it, trimmed the wick and had it burning for hours - no scent. A tiny bit. Wasn't until I just came to the reviews I realised it is either old wax or completely fake. Disappointed but amazon customer service amazing as per dealt with it straight away and have refunded me for a return. My brother brought a cinnamon one also which had some of the same issues though the scent is nice and powerful but says his has burned through a lot quicker than usual. Una vez que la enciendes, en cinco minutos empiezas a notar una fragancia que se nota fácilmente pero sin resultar agobiante. Es dulce pero no empalagoso, quizás incluso un puntito ácido al final.-Tercero, tengo que reconocer que pos las medidas que pone, pensaba que iba a ser más pequeña.CONCLUSIÓN: Pese a que me encanta el formato y el olor, el precio me parece, ya no alto, sino tirando a exagerado. Aún así de vez en cuando me daré el capricho, si fueran más baratas compraría bastante más. Me encanta sentarme a leer o a jugar a la consola con ella al lado y hay veces que me la llevo hasta la mesilla un rato antes de dormir.Si te ha resultado útil mi opinión te agradecería que lo indicases, gracias!Yankee Candles provide good value in their mid market position, with attractive lidded jars and pleasant fragrances, although I would urge doing some in-store sniffing before purchase where possible to check the smell is to your taste.For best burning experience, keep the wick trimmed to no more than 3mm and use a candle snuffer to extinguish as that helps prevent the wax going everywhere.This is an attractively scented candle, perfect for dinner table, lounge, bedroom and as a secret Santa/stocking. The lid helps keep the dust off between burnings although this one smells so nice it is unlikely to get a chance to accumulate dust in this house.Bought this Black Friday week. Ive been put off buying Yankees in the last year due to the lack of throw,and have been buying Bath & Body Works instead but couldnt resist this or Balsam & Cedar as BBW have nothing quite like them. I burnt this as soon as it arrived., no its not as strong as when i first started buying them in 2013 but it wasnt as weak as some of the latest offerings. One thing i have to say about Yankee is they always 'nail' the scents, this isn't your tart but mouth watering 'Granny Smith' also highly recommended,this is your crisp sweet mouth watering Mcintosh red juicy apple, with postage i paid just over £10 for the large jar and I'm just so sorry i didn't buy more but funds wouldn't allow. I'll just have to keep saving now till Black Friday week next year. Oh and by the way, it was bought from the amazon global website with an estimated delivery of 2-3 weeks and 6 days later i was sitting here when this and my two Balsam & Cedars were delivered. All i need now are my other favourite Yankees to be on offer. White Christmas, Sparkling Snow, Cherries on Snow, Honey Blossom and last but no means least my uplifting loves me loves me not.I think i'll always be a yankee girl at heart, i just wish they'd put the sake amount of fragrance oils right through the candle that they did years ago. If they did they'd probably find that all of their old yankee fanatic customers would come running back, we're not stupid we know when you've cut the amount of fragrance oils in a candle. Trying to maximise profit by cutting quality never works.
