I bought these cups for use in a set of wooden candle holders. Unfortunately, these cups are tapered rather than being straight sided cylinders. The candles I intended to use in them fit well at the base of the cup, but are loose at the top. As result, candles placed in the cups don't remain plumb. There are easy fixes for this, but it's a bit of a hassle.I'm sure there are candles that fit these cups perfectly. The ones I intended to use didn't. It's not the product's fault. They are simply designed for tapers with a different style base.maybe put a candel next to the cup so you can see the sizei need the bigger 1 inchGot these thinking my 1/2 inch candles would fit. Hole was too small. Returned with no issues.I liked that they were GREY--color went well with Birch wood.I used these with bean pot candle holders. They fit the holders perfectly. But they are too small for chime candlesHad to return this item bc measurement description is a little misleading: inside of cup is barely "1/2" inch, and much too small for what I needed. Item seemed to be sturdy enough.Love that is studyThey say that it fits 1/2 inch candles, but it is substantially smaller than that. I measured 7/16" inside diameter, about 1 centimeter.
