Materials were randomly placed in a non-descript cardboard box. Supplies were not labeled and there were no instructions, manual, or guide. NOT for beginners.Really nice deal. I love the little silicone molds. That spoon is so adorable. I got the kit that pretty much has it all. It’s nice for any beginner. This is a great set that includes ALMOST everything you need to make candles. There is wax, dye, wicks, stickies, wick holders, pot for melting the wax, mixing spoon, thermometer and cute candle containers--the main thing missing is INSTRUCTIONS! I found some basic instructions on the internet but still wasn't sure of the ratio of dye to wax or even how much wax to melt for a candle. I also don't know what to do with the silicone molds that look like they are more for candy making. Especially how would you make candle from the rose shaped mold that you can't put a wick in that because the flower would be on the bottom and it is not a flat surface. They seemed to have thought of everything else a beginner would need so it's disappointing that instructions were not included.URL: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0946ZVNSF?th=1Price at request time: $22.49Brand: YipledProduct Rating: 4 StarsMy wife has used this to make a number of candles that she like to give her co-workers every year around the holidays. She made a number of scented candles, and found the kit to be useful. Easy to handle and convenient are two very good properties in a kit of this nature, and she's very pleased with the results. It comes with everything needed to get started with candle making, if you're into that type of crafting. Even if you simply have a passing interest and would like to test your creative juices, this seems like a very good starting point.Pro:Everything needed is included. Wide variety of possibilities. Easy to use, with very decent instructions.Con:If you're already an experienced candle hobbyist, this kit would be a little pedestrian. This is definitely a "beginner's kit."Thoughts:Everyone has to start somewhere. This kit is not designed to make candle-making cost-effective (probably not even profitable). It is, however, something that can be used for complete and absolute customization of candles for those that enjoy them, and might enjoy the crafty experience of making them.I LOVE that this kit had so many items for me to do homemade candles...There is 168 pieces of DIY candle making items 1 bag of soy wax, 120 wick sticker, 1 mixing spoon, 100 cotton wicks, 12 wooden wick center devices, 1 metal pouring pot, 1 grey trivet mat, 5 candle molds, 12 dye blocks, 8 candle tins, 1 thermometer, 10 burlap thread and 10 candle burning labels. The candle make pouring pot is 304 stainless steel instead of iron, and can handle high temperatures.THIS WAS WELL WORTH THE COSTI LOVE ITI received the YIPLED 69Pcs Candle Making Kit, DIY Candle Making Supplies Including Cotton Wicks, Wick Stickers and Metal Pouring Pot, Candle Making Set for Adults Beginners Women (69 PCS) in exchange for this review. If you are just looking for a beginning candle-making kit, this set will fit the bill. Sadly, though, I ordered this kit because they claimed the pot was "304 Stainless Steel" and what I actually needed the pot for (Since I already had a candle melting pot, but could use some extra supplies) was a STAINLESS STEEL pot for mixing lye when making soap from scratch. Aluminum will have dangerous reactions to lye. When I got it, it LOOKED like the aluminum pot from my earlier candle making...so I tested it 3 ways. 1: Would a magnet stick as it will to most steel? NO. 2: Will my induction cooktop heat this pot? (Need steel for induction) NOPE! 3: Will a lye paste left on it for a couple of minutes etch the surface? (Aluminum etches, steel doesn't...I did this outside since the reaction is dangerous...and rinsed WELL) YES...it clearly was etched. So if you want a starter kit with a decent aluminum pot...get this. If, however, you want to order a TRUE stainless steel pot. Look elsewhere.I would not call this a kit for beginners - a kit for making colored candles would be more accurate. Why not for beginners? First, there are no instructions in this kit. Next, there is no candle material such as soy or bees wax in this kit. A beginning candle maker needs both instrudtions and candle materials. A kit that counts every wick but ignores the basic requirements for making a candle is not one I would recommend to a beginner. This kit does contain colors to put in the candle material. There are a few silicone molds as well and a bunch of wicks and supports. There is a pitcher for pouring hot material, but, as a kit for beginners, I think this one fails to provide sufficient materials and sufficient information.
