These are awesome if you're using LED bulbs. I made a chandelier for my dining room and these worked like a charm. I've had seven of them on for several hours a day since March with no issues. I'm using 3-watt LED bulbs, so there isn't a noticeable amount of heat being produced, but as other people have pointed out, you may need to be careful if you're still using incandescents or halogens for some reason (but given that you can get LED bulbs that'll last a couple decades for only $2-3 a bulb, it's really time to switch).Update December 2020: I've had one or two of these break, via the connection between the lead and the socket getting flaky (not physically disconnecting, but not working consistently). The fixture I have them in has them hanging with a bit of stress potentially on the leads as opposed to just the plastic bulb mount itself. In addition, at least one has cracked from over-tightening a bulb (although it still works just fine).Still leaving this at 5 starts, as they're under a buck each, but if you need something that's super sturdy or for some reason you're still using incandescent bulbs instead of LEDs, you might want to look elsewhere. That said, I'm happy enough with them that I'm ordering a second set for a new chandelier.
