I really like these candles, and I have tried many more expensive brands, from Root to Archipelago to Paddywax. Like their more expensive counterparts, they have a pleasant, not chemical, not overpowering scent. They burn cleanly and they melt even more cleanly because they are not 100% soy. I don't know the percentage of soy wax- high or low- so if this is important to you, try to find out. I just noticed that the wax slips down the glass without leaving behind any residue. Pure soy wax candles can be somewhat oily. But mostly I like them because they are a generous size, have exotic mild scents and they are very reasonably priced compared to their competition. I find there is a difference between a $5 candle and a $15 candle but none between a $15 and $25.
