I originally bought this as a gift but I ended up sampling them as well. Some scents were stronger than others. Overall, it did not effect my allergies and I looked forward to stepping into any room with one of these candles in it.I use the Pet House Lavender Green Tea candles in my lantern. They’re larger than tea lights, so last much longer, and they have a very clean scent, which I can’t have too much of, with two cats and a dog patrolling my home. I’ve been using these for more than two years and recommend them highly.Great for bathroom and bedroom. However it is in a plastic container that can melt easily. The smell is good. As for odor elimination, it works great.The only thing was dissatisfied with was that they burned too fast.I bought these to travel with - my relative who I'm staying with has a small dog who is mostly well-trained but it still just smells like dog in the house. I worked at Bath & BodyWorks for years and Fresh Citrus is basically Island Margarita, just slightly lighter.The Lavender is a nice *natural* lavender scent, so it has a little bit of that spicy element to it but it's not overpowering like some lavender scents. It's a little powdery & slightly sweet.The Sunwashed Cotton is similar to old-school Sea Island Cotton - but without as much of the sickly-sweet smell that always gave me a headache. It's like if you mixed a toned-down version of Sea Island Cotton with laundry detergent. I hated SIC, so I didn't buy this set for that scent, but it's not awful. I think a lot of people would like it. If you ever tried the odor neutralizing spray BBW briefly had, it smells like the linen version of that.These are nice, I'm buying another set to try out more & buying more of the Fresh Citrus scent. They're like an 8 for smell strength if a normal BBW candle is a 10. Great for a bedroom but not overpowering. Definitely make a difference. Just be careful while burning them - BBW got sued over their plastic tealight candles that could catch fire. These pet candles have plastic too holders. 999 times out of 1,000 they're probably be fine but I'd put them in a larger candle holder or just never leave them alone to be on the safe side. We gave out so many free candle holders because of that issue.I found this brand through online searching for non toxic candles. I wasnt looking for pet odor elimination, I was looking for scents that won't give me a head ache, but I do have pets and who knows, I may have a problem with dog stink but I think I'm nose blind to it? So yeah let's try it.I got the best sellers trio because $10 for 3 candles seemed like a good deal for my needs. I like the Lavender. It smells like an Abercrombie & Fitch store more than Lavender though, I mean like zero Lavender scent. I would buy it again. Not the other two from the best sellers. Too artificial smelling and gave me a headache. 4/5 for the Lavender. 3/5 for the other two.And yes, surprisingly effective. When I walked out of the room and came back it was noticeably one of the most effective deodorizing candles I've ever used. The people that say "zero scent" maybe have some kind of. Ahem. Medical issue to be tested. Because they are STRONG. There were three people in my house the day I tried these and all of us talked about how strong and effective these candles are.I got my husband a green-cheek conure last year for Christmas, and while I am so happy he loves that dang little bird so much, I had to get rid of non-stick pans, a bunch of household cleaners, and most depressingly, my candles. I have been on the hunt for bird safe candles since then, but the only ones I can find are way too expensive for a candle. Birds can only be around candles that have paraffin-free wax and lead-free wicks. I saw this brand at a local feed store but the label didn't say specifically what the wick was made of. I did some research and came to find that I HAD DONE IT! I HAD FOUND A CANDLE THAT WON'T KILL THE BIRD. So I ordered these bad boys and three days later, I got them. I ripped that puppy open like a wild person (ok, it's fall and I don't have any pumpkin candles so I was eager), popped the lids off and they all smell SO GOOD. I got the pack with the 3 different fall scents. I burned one today and my whole kitchen smells like delicious apple cider AND the bird is still vertical.As far as scent goes for those who are wondering:Falling Leaves- Smells like pine with a sweet undertonePumpkin Spice- Smells like I wanna eat it; sweet pumpkin smell, but not fake/overwhelmingApple Cider- Smells just like apple ciderNone of these scents smell fake or overwhelming (I used to get headaches from a lot of candles).They are a little pricey for the bigger ones, but I love them and will definitely be ordering more!one of the candles didn’t have a bottom and started melting all over the table. guessing it was a manufacturing error but could’ve been really dangerous. i’ll purchase more and will now check to ensure the bottoms are intact.Overall, just meh...I go through a lot of scented candles for a variety of prices and quality, and these are just meh... didn’t love or hate them.The scents were nice and accurate, but not overly special or lingering...the little plastic things they come in don’t seem to burn or off gas like some other cheaper plastics.But I don’t think I’d buy these again even though they are better to have around my house for my petsTried one in the lower level and it seemed to work the smoke smell and puppy smell were a lot better I will need to use it more then once but very happy with them so far. Will be buying more.I try to change the smell in my house. Even if my house is usualy not using fragrance Its dont change a thing in the room... Supposed to eliminate animal odor but It dont!Didn’t like the scent (lavender green tea) but I think it did mask some of the doggy smells while it was burning. Too bad it was not a scent I liked!
